I stand as a candidate who champions community values and brings valuable business experience to the table.

 

My roots are deeply planted in the ethos of community, and I understand the unique needs and aspirations of our city's residents.

 

My passion for helping the community is unwavering. While I may not have all the answers, I am committed to listening to our local community's needs and using my voice to advocate for what matters most to us all.

 

I have been a stay at home mum, and spent many years in the NHS.  I am now a successful entrepreneur, and have first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing local businesses. I am passionate about fostering an environment where businesses can thrive, creating jobs, and contributing to our local economy.

Some of you may have noticed I don’t actually live in the ward, so I wanted to be completely transparent.

I run my business right here in Southend along the seafront, which borders Milton Ward, and I spend far more time on the High Street and in the surrounding areas than I do in Rochford, where I actually live.

​

Milton Ward is the beating heart of our town centre, and like my fellow running mates, I’d love to see it thrive. When the High Street does well, the whole of Southend benefits.

 

Without a vibrant High Street and strong local businesses investing in our community, Southend simply can’t prosper – and that affects every one of us.

​

I’m also proud to be a member of the North Thameside Ladies Auxiliary, a wonderful group of ladies who, for decades, have raised a substantial amount of money for local charities and supported people right here in Southend.

That’s why I’m standing as your councillor – because I genuinely care about what happens in this town, and I want to help create the positive changes that our businesses, residents and visitors all deserve.
