My Priorities for
Greater Essex
We must create a thriving business environment to generate the taxes we need to pay for the public services we all want. As a businessman, I know what must be done: lower tax and red tape SMEs in particular so they can concentrate on what they do best.
Green belt land is being threatened up and down the country and I will do everything legally possible to stop it.

Work with environmental groups to support clean waters in Essex.

Social housing is vital and I will explore all avenues to get this moving and prioritise local people.

I will block any encroachment of the London Mayor's punishing road fines such as ULEZ, Lez, congestion charging, bus gates, pay per mile, LTNs and will never bring it into Essex.

Ending homelessness by following the Finnish model.

Build houses only on brownfield sites.

Enforcing private developers to fulfil their agreed quota of social housing.

Setting developers a minimum of 50% social housing - not 'affordable' housing.

Ensuring developers actually build on what they have already been given planning permission to do so before starting any new projects.

Prioritise housing for people local to the area.

Oppose councillors receiving a pension.

I will not take the £150K salary.

I will not enforce a precept for the MCCA.

I will not spend tens of millions of pounds for the Mayor of Essex to control the bus and rail network.

Influence the reduction of parking charges across the whole of Essex Influence the return cash as payment methods for parking meters and public transport.

I will support pay-as-you-go rail that allow passengers to tap in and out of stations using a contactless card or device.

Stop working from home, where it is obviously not necessary, and influence all councils to do the same.

Ban the police's use of facial recognition technology.

Stop wasting police time with social media arrests for petty posts.

Invest in satellite police stations in our high streets.

Support the re-opening of youth centres to reduce crime and create places of belonging.

Invest heavily in directing as much resource in front-line policing.

Launch a huge drive in Special Constables and Employee Supported Scheme.

Launch the biggest ‘Inspirational Speaker’ drive to go into our schools with the goal to provide them with aspiration and ambition.

Continue to oppose legalising drugs.

Influence the opposition of Digital ID.
